How a birthday party comes together
It starts with a conversation about your child. What they are obsessed with this month, how many friends are coming, whether you are hosting in your own backyard or booking a venue, and how you want the afternoon to feel. From there we build the theme end to end: color palette, balloon installation, statement backdrop, table styling, the dessert display, and the run of activities that keeps a room full of children happily occupied. You see the direction before anything gets built. On the day itself we load in and install early, hold the timeline so cake, games, and presents land when they should, then break the whole thing down and take it away with us. Anyone who has done the do-it-yourself version knows exactly what that last part is worth. The real reason to hire a planner is not only a better-looking party. It is that you spend the afternoon with your child instead of behind a folding table.

Custom cakes and dessert tables are coordinated with the bakers and stylists who make them, then styled to match the rest of the room. We are based in Brentwood, and a good share of our birthdays happen within a few miles of home, in backyards and living rooms around Brentwood and Franklin. Just as many happen elsewhere: venue parties in Cool Springs, Nashville celebrations where the load-in window is tight and everything has to go up fast, and family parties out in Murfreesboro and Spring Hill. Local knowledge matters more than it sounds like it should. Tennessee spring and fall weather is beautiful and completely unreliable, so outdoor birthdays get a second plan built in from the start. Venues have their own access rules and timings. Traffic on I-65 shapes when a truck can realistically arrive. We build all of that into the schedule so the day runs the way it looked in the concept.

What ages do you plan children’s birthday parties for?
First birthdays through sweet sixteens. The design and the activities change completely with age, so the plan for a one-year-old’s smash-cake party and the plan for a sixteenth look nothing alike, which is exactly the point.
Can you plan a birthday party at our house rather than a venue?
Yes, and plenty of our Brentwood and Franklin birthdays are at home. We design around the space you already have, bring the installations, backdrops, and styling in with us, and take everything back down afterward.
Do you handle the cake and the entertainment as well as the décor?
We coordinate both. Custom cakes and dessert tables are arranged and styled to match the theme, and entertainment and activities are booked and scheduled into the day so nothing has to be chased on your child’s birthday.
Should we hire a planner for a birthday party, or do it ourselves?
Honestly, it depends on the party. A small gathering you have run before is very doable yourself. A planner usually earns the fee at one of three points: the guest list outgrows what one person can host and manage at the same time, the party involves enough vendors that somebody has to coordinate them, or you would simply rather spend your child’s birthday with your child than running it.
