Spring Hill has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Tennessee for years, and that shows up in the work. A great many of the parties we plan here happen in neighborhoods that did not exist a decade ago, which is its own kind of design problem. The yards are open and the trees are young, so there is little existing shade and almost nothing to hang anything from. That is solvable, but it has to be solved on purpose: bringing in structure, shade and lighting rather than assuming the yard will supply them. It also means these parties photograph beautifully, because a blank lawn takes a designed installation better than a mature garden does.
